Sorenson ninth in DIRTcar Nationals feature at Volusia Speedway Park
Fresh off a week of Modified action at the track, Dustin Sorenson unloaded his Altenburg Construction No. 19 Super Late Model at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) for the first night of the DIRTcar Nationals.
Kicking off the week on Monday evening, Sorenson was unable to crack into the A-Main field after a fourth-place finish in his Last Chance Showdown.
Racing into Tuesday's $7,000-to-win main event through a LCS, Dustin marched from his 23rd-starting spot to land inside the Top-10 in ninth.
Utilizing a different format on Wednesday, Sorenson qualified 14th for the first feature and brought home a 16th-place outing.
With the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series sanctioning the remainder of the weekend, Sorenson made both features on Thursday and Friday finishing 21st and 16th respectively.
Saturday's $16,000-to-win DIRTcar Nationals finale was cancelled ahead of time with rough weather in the forecast.
Sorenson is currently 13th in the World of Outlaw point standings.
